The course will offer an overview of the recent development in the machine learning field, and you will learn how to read into a current publication or project, research relevant resources, and present it in a concise manner.
In the first two sessions, we will give an overall introduction and provide you with information on how and where to find valuable resources. Further, you will be able to choose from a current publication or project that you would like to read into and present. Before your actual presentation, our instructors will additionally support you with individual feedback or to answer questions that might occur during your research on the given topic.
Possible topics are for example: "Zero-Shot Text-to-Image Generation", "Transformers for Time Series Analysis", or "Multimodal Neurons in Artificial Neural Networks".
This course is part of the opencampus.sh Machine Learning Degree. Participants of the program for the Machine Learning Degree get preferred access to this course. Find more information on the opencampus.sh Machine Learning Degree here.
You should already have knowledge about Machine Learning and are interested in reading into current publications and projects and in discussing new applications.
In order to receive a certificate of achievement ("Leistungszertifikat"/ ECTS) for this course, active participation is expected, no more than two classes may be missed, and you have to give a presentation on a current publication or project in machine learning.
Before the first course meeting there will be a Course Kick-Off Event on April 8.
